Gingrich the moderate?
That would divide the far right in a primary battle with Palin. Maybe they are both conservatives but they appeal to different audiences. Romney/Palin might split the Republicans into moderate/superconservative factions, although I suspect Romney isn't as moderate as he paints himself.
