Bruce Lee was supposed to play the role of Caine on Kung Fu
But that role is what I always knew David Carradine best for.
That series stood out from just about every other Western of its era,
with the possible exception of The Wild, Wild West. I always could not
wait for the segments where Caine would think back to a situation in
his adopted China that related to the current plot. How could one not
like a man like Master Po, who could take down the bad guys even
though he was (physically) blind. And the fight scenes done in slow
motion were also a big deal at the time.
Always unfortunate when someone feels things have gotten so bad that
they have to take their own life to stop the pain.
