Virtual prayer mats?

While I am sure it was fun to spend even more money on fancy futuristic
gadgets for this plane, why didn't they just have a few real prayer mats
instead of having to generate them? And would this be acceptable to Allah?

Or am I just not nearly rich and powerful enough to understand such excesses?
