Outlook for the arrival of true AGI
Yeah, I've had lots of fun as a sceptic deriding decades of AI forecasts and failure to deliver on the hype, but here is arecent inverview of a scientist contributing in the field of Artificial GENERAL Intelligence who asserts that a very modest effort could produce results...in 2 or 3 decades. If what he says is true, then the modest investment of $3M per year would make the wealthy venture investor likely the most wealthy person on the planet. Or after 20+ years at least his estate would be wealthy.
