I left this board for some time a while back, and not one thing changed. Those with liberal points of view didn't get more benevolent, even-handed and reasonable in the absence of my evil influence. In fact, political boards often decayed into a festival of hostile liberal partisan crap, proceeding through long threads without opposition of any serious kind.
On the issue of civility, I have been the recipient of more obscenity and name-calling than almost anyone else here. Granted, I knew the job was dangerous when I took it, but a "Renfield" reference looks pretty tame compared to one of, say, Art's frequent rants at me.
Get off the high horse. Your nose is bleeding.
