When cost over runs hit Project Constellation, that robot craft will be cancelled.
Cost over-runs and NASA projects go together like hand in glove.
When NASA has an ambitious manned project, like Project Constellation,
they will inevitably cut costs somewhere.
And any advance redundant
robotic missions to the moon will certainly be cut to save money
for Project Constellation to achieve its main goals IMHO.
