This is getting to be a rite of passage for Republicans. Now Democrats can be just as sexually active, but they tend not to preach, not to talk so much about the Ten Commandments abstinence, and the sanctity of the family.

Someday people will realize Republicans as a party don't really give a rip about their budget deficits, their big government, or their morality. They just don't want anyone else to have a government, social programs or to screw.

Now there's going to have to be the traditional penance, the obligatory mea culpa before some nationally known paragon of piety, the dutiful wife standing by his side saying she forgives him, etc. And he'll enter the Republican Ranks of the fallen and forgiven.

I truly think Republicans like their leadership to be seriously flawed. Palin, McCain, Bush (stupid), Cheney, etc., and so on. They relate to them better.

As a contrast, how 'bout Obama and Biden? I don't know of any serious personal scandal to touch them except Biden's plagarizing part of a speech.

It's the hypocrisy that's a continuing issue, not the act.
