CFCs cleared of ozone depletion

From the comments to the article:

After 19 years of "consensus" that CFC's caused ozone depletion, the premier scientific journal Nature reported on October 3rd, 2007, that NASA JPL scientists were reporting dichlorine peroxide photolysis rates almost an order of magnitude too low to explain ozone depletion via photolytic breakdown of CFC's.

Markus Rex of the Alfred Wegener Institute said "If these measurements are correct we can basically no longer say we understand how ozone holes come into being."
