Shrinking wallflowers don't go to the Moon at all

Well, they probably will someday when the space tourist industry finally
opens up, but not then or now.

Besides, according to Andy Chaikin's 1994 book, A Man on the Moon and
the 1998 HBO series, Deke Slayton wanted Gus Grissom to be the first
man to walk on the lunar surface, which makes the latter's untimely
death even sadder. I think I would have liked Grissom with that honor.
