I bought him his first ball python. He wrapped her around his neck, and she began to tighten her grip. My son came into the room were I was and his face was turning red...Mama Bear mode...I was ready to gnaw my way through that snake. It taught me a valuable lesson.
"Alice" our 15 year old ball python [ a different one] is in my sons' room and we introduced her to my grandaughter the other day. Cameron and I both were right there the whole time.
[We have a pool also, and I have a lock on the very top of the door where she can not reach...or Mom for that matter...because I have started thinking of Mom in terms of my grandaughters' age. If I do it for the grandbaby...who is 4...I do it also for Mom.]
However the truth is when she is at Nanas'..I never let her out of my sight anyway...EVER.
I am a Nana Helicopter...always hovering....hell I was that way with my children..
I have a nephew who has a 5 year old little boy and a 10 month old....and a python....I am passing this on...Thank you Lindy.
