I suppose it comes down to what's available...

...and what quality you are willing to settle for.

I watch TV shows on Surfthechannel.com fairly regularly. They do not actually host video. Rather, they provide a framework for their user family (me and you) to provide links to video hosted at other sites. They have a large library of new and old content.

Software-wise, it helps to have Veoh installed on your pc as some of the links resolve to veoh content. Other than that, a reasonably good video player works just fine. You get an excellent player for free called zplayer (plus lots of various codecs, etc. - if you don't know what this means, don't worry about it) from the CCCP install pack. You can get CCCP <href="http://www.cccp-project.net/">; right here. I recommend CCCP highly. It is a great free package.

For connection, I recommend you have any standard broadband connection. I have SBC/Yahoo DSL. I think that trying to view video using a dial-up modem is more trouble than it is worth.

I haven't tried hulu yet.
