Keep trying

This still runs with the premise that the "reforms" as currently envisioned will result in better health care, but I'll bypass that for now.

The trick in this "estimate" is the same as the primary trick in the "war costs" paper referenced (debunked a long time ago)--including anything in "health care spending" that is even remotely related to health care in some way.

The equivalent of this would be tallying up what it cost to save GM, and comparing it to everything spent on anything remotely related to cars, including the gasoline industry, roadbuilding industry, streetlights, etc.

Sorry, but a trillion dollars, despite the left's current best attempts to trivialize their monstrous spending proposals and ever-growing deficits, is still real money.
