I am not enough of a historical political buff to even frame your arguments, but the perspectives are certainly engaging. I got stopped at the tail end of a July 4th party last night by my conservative host who saw the Obama sticker on my car and then launched into the diatribe how we, as Americans were becoming a souless nation floating into an endless pit because Obama was printing money out of thin air. Recognizing the same attitudes from the previous year, I smiled politely and let the Rush talking head perform it's fear based-task.
