So you fly the ship into where you just set off the nuclear pulse?
To me, it seems like a bad idea to have your ship travil into the area where you just set off a nuclear pulse. Wouldn't the ship enter that area a fraction of a second after the nuclear pulse went off?
I like the Orion starship idea better. Put the nuclear blast behind you.
