Tension in wires
You need to learn how to assess the physics and mechanics involved in these concepts. Things that seem "sensible" from your daily life don't work in practice, at large scales and large energies.
When wires are stretched taut by large forces, and then additional forces applied at right angles, the tension becomes very high indeed. You are trying to pull the payload forward with wires at only a slight angle. This is a very poor geometry and multiples the strain in the wires.
The concept might work at model scale, with test forces, but scale-it up to real-world size and the forces involved with nuclear detonations and we aren't talking string and baling-wire any more...
