A speech is not a program,
but I find little to disagree with in that address.
It makes perfectly good sense to me. There is common sense, and humanity, compassion and courage, idealism and practicality, and a sense of decency and tolerance I have always felt when dealing with Canadians.
But there is little ideology and no invocations of historical totems or self-serving definitions that only guarantee the status quo for those who see themselves the arbiters of freedom and who have nothing but contempt for those who just don't see it their way.
