Kudos to amateur astronomer Anthony Wesley for drawing scientists' attention to this confirmed (IR, etc.) impact. Me, I'm just glad I don't live on Jupiter. Imagine life like in the movies where meteors come crashing down all around you on city streets blowing up cars and stuff and having to wear your SkyLab hemut around outdoors all the time. Non por moi.
