One way to explain my evolving ideas about what makes this place "habitable" is to note that most political rhetoric these days is deliberately designed to infuriate the target; to choke off discussion and increase polarization. This kind of toxic rhetoric is based either on falsehood or false arguments or both, and I think that by learning to filter out falsehoods and false arguments, there'll be space carved out to once again sheath our swords and discuss things like rational people.
That's what "trifecta", below, was about, practicing what I'm preaching (mostly still inside my head, which is why I find myself explaining posts like "trifecta").
We're both still here, so there's hope.
