I hate to bring this up, but when the Republicans controlled the Presidence and BOTH houses of Congress,
they did nothing to control spending. To the contrary, they spend like drunken sailors on leave, just like the Democrats.
All political campaign contributions must be banned; no exceptions! They are the reason behind uncontrollable spending which is little more than payback for lobbyists.
