...I think the more burning question is WhyTF congressional Republicans are still covering for this...(look up at board title, restrain myself) miscreant? Because the party loyalty so intense as to condone treason is also self-limiting because of self-interest: re-election. And while gerrymandering and voter suppression have given the GOP a documented 7% advantage through cheating, the outrage at their complicity may break through that final shield against accountability.

Short answer: Republican politicians are coming in for a hard landing. They're running out of time to pull up.
