re: Old books too dangerous for children?

I wish the article had given some ballpark figures for how much kids would have to ingest to have an effect. If every cumulative page eaten costs 1 IQ point, that could be significant. 10 IQ points per page, yeah, that's code red dangerous. 5 entire Beverly Clearly books consumed per IQ point lost and I think you're getting to pretty small effects. How many kids eat a whole book? More than once???

Not sure if it was the journalist or the experts interviewed to blame but with nothing more than "anything is too much" to go on I have no idea if this is totally crazy or just mostly crazy.
