When we have developed better battery-powered vehicles, and if we sensibly build more nuclear power plants to cover the new loads, essentially the cars would be "nuclear powered." Heck, if you think about it, even if we use solar panels, i.e. the sun, it still goes back to some form of nuclear power.
In fact, if you track the energy back far enough up the line, you and I are nuclear powered!
