I supported the telling lies to support the enemy is treachery line and that you don't promote freedom of speech by stifling it. I stated over and over that any form of speach was protected because we couldn't determine intent, but that if you knew you were lying for political gain you were committing treason. Many argued that it's not treason unless it's prosecutable, I disagree. That's like saying there's nothing wrong with adultery because we don't prosecute it anymore. Many people were making claims here that were so outrageous it's difficult to believe they were honest and castigating someone for pointing that out is dispicable in my view. Your support of that makes you almost as low IMO. There was clearly an anything goes when it comes to criticizing Bush. That inconsistancy and self deception are the moral equivalents to the greatest issues within the Bush administration.
I never felt the slightest hesitation to criticize Bush over the many policies I disagreed with.
