The Left is dead the minute it steps onto an intellectual field of battle. If the Democrats can focus on the "crazies," maybe nobody will be looking at their policies and ideas.
That there are people actually gormless enough to believe that craziness and the political use thereof is a right-wing invention, and that the media only started paying attention to them six months ago, is astounding to me. As I said, either the author is stupid or thinks his readers are.
