There are too many examples out there now of pro-AGW people being quoted as experts who aren't any more climate scientists than Burt is, and climate scientists who are skeptics being dismissed because--well--because they just should be dismissed.

Burt has a damn good mind, and if he has something to say about data, I'll at least pay attention.

And at this point, Burt's safety record with his small firm looks a hell of a lot better than NASA's with its billions of dollars and thousands of personnel. Maybe you don't know about anything except his work in space, but he's been flying experimental planes for years without a fatality.
