Burt Rutan gives his viewpoint as an engineer on AGW hysteria. Then the guy goes all E.P. on us :) and opines that if the govt really wants to protect us from planetary catastrophe then it should fund asteroid detection and deflection, a real threat that mankind can really do something about. A similar viewpoint to physicist Freeman Dyson's. Interestingly, he agrees with NASA's AGW cassandra James Hansen that the 'Cap & Trade' bill is totally bogus and counter productive. Ol' Burt better not say anything to Virgin Spaceways funder Richard Branson who is totally in with the we must stop AGW or we're wicked hosed! crowd.
