I've been railing against the Velociraptor/Deinonychus thing since the book came out, never mind the movie.
I assume she covered that.. ;)

Actually watched JP 1 with 9 year old son a couple of months ago. If you ignore the science/computer twaddle - and some horrendous overacting by Neill and Dern - it's still a pretty good movie.
