20 years ago today
20 years. Boy, time flies. I was back in my old zipcode 01776 house before we added on the family room wing, watching the enconter on TV. The Internet was text and modems back then with no live news feeds. On TV the program aptly titled "Neptune At Night" televised the encounter from JPL. It was midnight or so here on the East Coast when the 1st pics came on. Wicked cool. Back then I figured Neptune might be the last new planetary encounter I'd ever see. I was right, but not for the reason I thought.
