I believe there are a lot of us who aren't enthralled with Obama's health care plan even though we fervently advocate Universal Health Care. And it's really Obama's fault. Looking for bipartisanship, Obama is trying to make the American political process work the way it should, through bipartisanship.
The Republican core has stated it want's Obama's administration to fail, they'd rather see an America in the midst of poverty, joblessness, closed schools and filled prisons than have a Democratic administration work. It is with these same people that Obama is trying to craft a plan for Universal Health Care with which everyone can live.
So his "plan" is a moving target as he works for cooperation and concensus. No one knows very much at all what it really is, because it hasn't been firmed up yet. Etched in Jell-O, it's still in the hardening stage.
My suggestion would be for Obama to present the American public with non-negotiable elements which are acceptable to Democrats and let Republicans know that's what's going to be passed unless they bargain in good faith. At least people like me would know most of what the plan would look like.
We forget - the Republican core has dedicated itself to sabotaging Obama no matter what. And that includes Universal Health Care.
Why many, including me, don't trust Obama's health care plan.
