I have written satires that some people believed (Remember when Lindy believed the stories that Bush had banned Almanacs, and that John Walker Lindh used to be a poster on the Habitable Zone?)- but they were all done with tongue firmly in cheek, and never meant to be taken seriously- they were written to make a point in a hopefully humorous way...

What these folks did was totally different- like screaming 'FIRE!' in a crowded theater and then later claiming it was a pun... no- its not satire, and if they legitimately think it is then they need to learn the meaning of the word.

All they are doing is putting up bullshit that validates some people's bigotry and hate in order to get clicks and ad revenue.
