Iran is massively emboldened by Trump's idiotic failures and weakness, but it's more than likely the Orange Ignoramus is blowing smoke out of his ass as usual about these "Very Big Things." Let's hope so anyway.
Meantime, Iranian proxies are being unleashed. The Houthis in particular are expanding their control of Yemen and have shut down the Red Sea choke point, cutting off the route the Saudis were using to export oil since the Strait of Hormuz has been cut off. The Houthis also claim responsibility for blowing up the oil pipeline running from the the Persian Gulf to Saudi Arabia's west coast on the Red Sea. Trump has refused Saudi Arabia's request for military assistance, while still relying on them for assistance in his ongoing failed campaign against Iran. What a clusterfuck!
The Saudis spent years in a quagmire in Yemen and have no desire to return alone to it. That war caused the deaths of a half million Yemenis from violence, hunger and disease. (Not a single protest on any college campuses for that horrific slaughter I might add). Further, the Saudis had recently signed a mutual self defense treaty last month with Pakistan and Turkey, but both those nations are declining to help the Saudis. That treaty certainly didn't age well. So now reports are that the Saudis have turned to Israel for intelligence help against the Houthis.
