Stock price is based on projections of future earnings and asset values. The value of any commodity or trinket is based on it's scarcity and demand, if any. Foreign currencies are traded on expectations of GDP levels.
With Cryptocurrencies scarcity was fabricated.
If there is anything backing Bitcoin, please tell me what it is.
I read that one person drove the price of Bitcoin to $1000. We all saw what happened to the Hunt brothers and the rest of the people who invested in silver in 1980.
