News released on Fridays gets swallowed up during the weekend news lull, and THIS weekend the whole country grinds to a halt for the big game.
Regardless of the actual significance of this information, from a purely tactical point of view, I can't think of a worse time for the GOP to drop their bombshell. By Sunday morning no one will care. By Sunday night no one will remember. Not only that, this "news" competes and dilutes the good economic news the Prez could be taking credit for, as well as milking the State of the Union Buzz..
Meanwhile, there was a huge drop in the stock market today. Maybe it was just a hiccup of no long-term significance, but no one really knows. No one could have predicted that, but releasing the memo today, for the other reasons cited above, is an indication of real political malfeasance.
In my opinion, the much-vaunted memo is no big deal. But other than getting Limbaugh and FOX all excited, nothing new or really significant is being released. But the Trumpers have succeeded in doing one thing, they have really pissed off the FBI. And Nunes has exposed himself big time. Like I said, real political malfeasance.
