But I can't really agree that we've "all" gone past the point of insanity. I moved to Sacramento in January, and as a political town, there's often a march or protest going on. First at the Women's March in January, then today in the March for Our Lives, I keep seeing thousands and thousands of reasons for hope.
Love the wit and intelligence of the signs, the spirit of the chanting, and above all, the percentage of young people at these events. They're taking matters into their own hands, and I feel more than a little nostalgic to see it. I walked out of my high school to protest the Vietnam War, and I love seeing these students walk out to protest gun violence. Damn good for them!
There really is still hope, hank. The kids may save us despite ourselves.
