I find it amusing that the only people who take literal creationism seriously as a biological principle are Christian and Islamic fundamentalists.
Then again, considering the rise in political influence of these two movements on the world stage, perhaps 'amusement' is not the correct response. Maybe 'terror' is more appropriate.
There's nothing we can do about religious superstitions and ignorant cults. They have been with us since Day One. But those who cultivate and encourage these savages to promote their own political agendas are reaping the whirlwind. They may one day come to regret their cynical alliance with these religious sects, but how many of the rest of us will have to suffer first?
