Joe just doesn't have it any more. He's a nice guy, but he's just too old.

But unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, the Democrats are not ready yet to throw away the Constitution just so they can get the right guy in. That's what the GOP did and look at the mess they've made of things. And who's in our future? McConnell, Cruz, Graham, Scott, Pompeo? The whole leadership of the GOP has become a generation of vipers.

No, Biden may not be the best we've got, but any Democrat is better than Trump. Bernie, Liz, Pete, Mike, Hillary and Barack are all better than Trump. For that matter, even Dubya and Mitt and Marco would be preferable to Trump. Hell, I'd prefer Nixon to Trump if he were still alive. But at least we still have a Constitution; lets hope its still online come November.

Even if the Democrats replace Trump, without the Constitution we will eventually, sometime in the future, get a Democrat like Trump. Donald J Trump is not just a bad President, he has come closer than any other President to destroying democracy in this country. And he has done it with the full assistance and cooperation of the Republican Party.

That's why they are now the enemy. Trump is a malignant and ignorant man, but that's just the way he is. He can't help it. He is totally unaware of just how toxic he is. But those who have supported him do know, they knew exactly who he was and what they were getting. They may even loathe him, but they feel that he will give them what they want, and that is all they really care about. If we are to keep any remainder of a Conservative, Rightist ideology in our politics, we can no longer entrust it to anyone associated with the existing GOP. Its not a question of ideology or philosophy any more, the entire party infrastructure, the whole goddamn apparatus is corrupt, diseased to the core. We simply cannot trust or believe anyone who backed or supported this man any longer.
