I have to admit, it sure looks that way to me too.

But I'll be damned if I can figure out how they intend to do it. It is pretty obvious (to everyone) that our our failure to make headway against Covid is purely an artifact of Trumpism, in spite of his lame efforts to blame the Chinese, Obama, the Democrats, etc etc. But I don't see how that can be turned into anything but a liability come election time. If its indeed a strategy, I can't see how it will be deployed.

It still LOOKS like the Corona Crisis is indeed a deliberate attempt by the Trump regime to bring down America. Sure, I'm willing to concede its probably more a case of stupidity and incompetence than sheer malignant treachery, but I have to confess it still looks more like the latter than the former. Even his base must see that. The best the trogs can do is to try to make mask-wearing into a Liberal conspiracy to bring down the Republic.

What is he going to say come November; "We must continue our successful efforts to control this virus or who knows what disaster might occur if Biden takes over?" The only possible strategy I can see is; "The disruption caused by the virus makes it essential we postpone our election until...". Which not only keeps Trump in power, but maintains the GOP majority in the Senate. Indefinitely.

And once the first Presidential election in American history is "postponed", then anything is possible.
