I guess I rant here because my wife doesn't want to talk, or even think about it. She is so angry and so crushed by what this thug and his petty gangsters are doing to our country that I'm afraid it will lead to real unhappiness and despair on her part, so I bring it here to get it off MY chest. I can't talk about it at home because it upsets her so. So you poor sods get to share my righteous indignation.

But in a way, I must confess I'm sort of enjoying it all. I'm getting to old for much of it to affect me personally, I'll be dead before things get really bad, and I've had a good run up to now. Global Warming, Killer Plague, Russian Aggression, Economic Collapse, Chinese Hegemony, Fascist Theocracy...What, me worry?

And in a way, it sort of justifies and reinforces a lot of the suspicions and prejudices I've held over the years. These goons have always played a role in our national life but I've always suspected that if they ever got full control of the country, they'd run it into the ground in only a matter of months. And now I know it for sure. They have proven me right, in spades.

Mea culpa. Yes, I feel guilty about it, and it really accomplishes nothing constructive. But, I can't help but saying it over and over and over....I TOLD YOU SO!
