Were we to experience something of the scale of a Carrington event in today's society, it could be the worst global disaster, in terms of death toll, that humanity has ever experienced to date.

It WILL happen eventually- it nearly happened 2012- the question is how well our infrastructure will be prepared for it when it happens.
