Syrian (came here as a child)
Democratic leanings.
Mental health problems.
Bullied in school.
Beat up a fellow student and was arrested.
Bought gun a few days before. Family knew about the gun and did nothing.
No motive known for why he picked this town or that store.
I spent an hour the other day consoling our neighbor who is a regular there and knows some of the victims. She used to live directly behind that shopping center. That was hard with social distancing. Good thing her son was there to hug her as she sobbed in a fetal position.
Might go down there today and pay my respects.
Will this ever stop? If not, this will come to your town, your local store, your friends, eventually.
I am okay. Just sad. Really fucking sad. Boulder has been called the town stuck between the mountains and reality. Well, the mountains are still there but reality broke in.
