Like, I guess, most people, I hear "volcano", and I picture something massive, an angry mountain. Something much larger than life.
That was my assumption about La Soufriѐre. So when you pointed out the humans for scale in the previous post, the perspective shift was a little mind bending. It brought me back to reality, reminding me of the more human scale of active geologic features like Yellowstone and Mammoth Lakes. And it's mind-bending in its own way, people standing next to a volcano taking selfies. Whoaaaaaa....
