Am I getting close?

Sort of. My problem with the gay sexuality is twofold.

My first objection is the way he has started hitting on nearly every guy he comes in contact with. "He has a knack for knowing who will be receptive." Before you think double standard, I would be equally put off by any action hero that behaved that way. Anyway, I thought promiscuity was out.

FGS, we get it, he's gay and it's okay, now move on.

The second objection is the unclothed soft porn intimacy between two British pale, hairy, most unattractive humans. Their gender has little to do with it. Two very unattractive females would have the same effect.

I see what you mean about him being a sociopath, Perhaps short of monster.

In the role he demonstrates a distinct lack of sensitivity to the death of friends and lovers, as if it is an unavoidable side effect of immortality in a mortal world.
