Here we have Democrats discussing the strategy with Republicans, right out in the open. Why would you have a problem with that?
You're going right for the conventional conspiracy theory, assuming that Democrats are anxious to use their votes as a weapon to sabotage Republicans. But you might consider a broader perspective, and take into account the widespread dissatisfaction with Obama on the Left. The situation's more complicated than paranoia might admit: There are a lot of Democrats genuinely open to an alternative to Obama. And if those people can move their choice along into the general by voting in the Republican primaries, I see no problem at all with doing that.
For that matter, if an honest appraisal of the good of the country leads one to sacrifice his or her vote to sabotage a Republican primary, frankly, I have no problem with that either.
As Republicans have been brutally reminding us the last couple of years, politics is a contact sport.
