It's way better than a tie
For the reasons I describe below to RL keeping the Senate is very big as is keeping any GOP House majority small. Also expectations for the GOP were so high it's a crushing blow to them. The worst inflation 40 years, a spike in crime, a big spike in illegal immigration, a sour public view of the economy and direction of the country, and a president with approval ratings in the low 40s. Plus the historical advantage the opposition party has in midterms and it was an environment for a massive red wave on the scale of 2010. The public looked at all of that and then looked at the alternative and said NO THANKS. That is fucken HUGE my friend.
