McCarthy was ousted because he failed to deliver what his caucus wanted.

But he got thrown off the bus by his own party because he had lied to them, as well as to the Dems. He had gone back on a deal he had already negotiated with the Democrats concerning the budget compromise.

And let us not forget McCarthy was in the middle of one of the most treacherous and cowardly performances ever to occur in the annals of Congressional history. After Jan 6, McCarthy correctly condemned Trump for his role in the attempted coup. But after meeting privately with Trump, he reversed course and started making excuses for him, in order to cozy up with the Freedom Caucus and their allies.

Regardless of what the Dems do, the Fascist wing of the GOP will continue rejecting Speakers until they get one who will do exactly what they want. This is what happened to Ryan and Boehner.

Sure, the Democrats voted to move their own political agenda. Prior to the election, they caucused and coordinated their votes as a bloc to help oust McCarthy. And yes, the result of this election can only help reinforce the idea that the Republican Party cares only about one thing, advancing corporate agendas, and that they are willing to pander to every reactionary and bigoted ghost in the American closet. But lets not paint McCarthy as a helpless victim of partisan politics. The man was a shameless lying careerist and he got exactly what was coming to him, from both sides of the aisle.
