Re: The Education of Steve Jobs

Well, I tried to give you an out, but since you insist on dragging this on...

Bullshit. The whole post was the the usual wingnut hymn to the glories of entrepreneurship and a cleverly disguised attack on all those pinko profs that dare challenge the legitimacy of the divine right of the ownership class. The source and the poster both lead us to that conclusion. It's part of the entire program the Right has devised to destroy the legitimacy and authority of every institution in this society except the glorified used car salesmen and lowlife bail bondsmen they represent.

I have no problems with Steve Jobs. I like and admire the guy and I respect what he has done with his business and the industry. But The Hooverites and you are exploiting him to push your own ideological agenda, which tells us that only they, the "job creators" know what they're doing, no one else has any right to challenge them, and oh, by the way, if that expensive degree your family just went in hock for doesn't work out, well you don't really need it because you need to be an entrepreneur, now. Tough shit, college boy. Cut your hair and get a job.

And who are these clowns? I would be willing to bet there isn't an entrepreneur in the lot. A bunch of perfessers who make their living writing apologia and prayers for the Right, and who have probably never made a payroll in their whole life?

You knew exactly what you were doing when you linked to that article. And so did everyone who took the trouble to read it. The whole post was political baggage, a greasy feelgood piece for the Republicans who can't figure out why their system isn't working and are desperate to hang it on anyone they can because they can't admit even to themselves they blew it. You're just pissed I pointed it out.
