Something to keep an eye on- Plague again

The Russians worked on antibiotic resistant plague pathogen and modified it to be as virulent as possible... The reason natural Plague is no longer a threat is because it can be treated with anti-biotics- the fact that this became so severe suggests this wasn't a natural strain she was infected with.

I just read 'Biological War' by Annie Jacobsen- very well researched, but also a bit sensational- which details a scenario where weaponized plague escapes a Siberian lab...

It ends with near extinction of humanity- very sensationalized in my opinion, I think collapse of all semblance of civilization would have been a more probable outcome , so not a whole lot better...
