I came here intending to start the thread if somebody else hadn't.
I saw the finale last night. They're using that complicated Permutational Gordian Knot scheduling technique, with a train of catchup episodes behind each new one, so I'm not suprised we're on completely different timelines. You may run out of episodes before you're done, but I found Comcast's on-demand service...if you've got Comcast...is useful for filling in. I'd otherwise have cursed and passed on the whole thing after missing the first episode, hoping to catch it later in "reruns" (whatever that means any more).
Which leads me back ontopic: It was worth it to piece it together out of on-demand and realtime. You should enjoy the whole miniseries. Given that it's much shorter in total than the original series, they skim along at high speed to arrive with a boom at the finale. Trying to avoid a spoiler here, let me see...it was a more explicit ending than the original, yet superficially so. They provided an explanation, of sorts, but because they were true to the whole "oh wow, that was heavy" Prisoner thing, it doesn't matter. Maybe more of a gesture to avoid the Ronald D. Moore trap and oppobrium that adheres thereto, but they didn't need to. They were on safe ground "reimagining" what amounted to a hallucination in the first place.
Be seeing you.
