Re: OK. Enough is enough. Frank, we had a truce, a ceasefire, a detant.

I will do my best with a post which is confusing to me.

First, I am able to observe a truce, I did that. As far as "making up" goes clearly that's not possible.

Second, you have deleted many posts of mine, refused to delete others. You acknowledge that. YOU HAVEN'T FOR A WHILE, TRUE. I WILL ACKNOWLEDGE YOU HAVEN'T EDITTED OR CENSORED A POST OF MINE FOR A WHILE. And I haven't been around for a while. If you go back to my later posts, I objected to your CAPACITY for editing which does exist. Podrock pointed out that editing is a universal capacity now. As for what others have done, that is not a matter for us to discuss. Capacity is not the same as an action.

Third, I have been wrong. Here is one place I admitted it recently.

"Was that a low blow? n/t 2011-10-17 21:59:48 by RobVG [edit] [Reply]"

"Yeah, it probably was. I get a bit frustrated with two general types of crimes, victimless and crimes against ... 2011-10-17 22:29:01 by bowser [edit] [Reply]"

(If you'll notice, Rob hasn't mentioned any of low blows directed at me. Probably an underdog thing.)

As far as sarcasm in general goes, Frank, review your comments on these pages and get back to me. We'll have a fairer ground upon which to discuss the matter.

I am sorry, I cannot say I constantly suggest people are stupid if they disagree with me. I recently said one of my posts wouldn't be understandable to many people, and it wasn't. I did not say they are stupid. Neither did I say they were especially bright. The point is that the issue wasn't there. Didn't exist. I said it wouldn't be understood and I was correct. Some people may be sensitive to slights in that area and look for them. Sometimes they may find what they are looking for even if it's not there. Understanding that post is not a function of intelligence. In the absence of your finding where I did that I'm not going to cop to it. Regarding my "snide, sarcastic insults", and staying with the two of us, mano a mano, I DID stop them, Frank. I did not insult you, I was not snide, I honored my word in our truce. And what happened? Heaps of snide, sarcastic insults. And there we are. You are accusing ME. Can you see the irony? You are doing what you say I am doing. And worse.

That deals with your concerns.

Now, for your part. First, apologize for breaking your word. If you cannot find it in your heart to acknowledge you chose to do so on your own then accept the label that comes with that. It's obvious.

On that matter, apologize for the insults regarding my work with dying people. Either that or point out where I have mentioned it in an inappropriate way. You wouldn't know it, but I did not mention the notes of appreciation and other recognition I have received for being very effective. From staff and patients and their families. I didn't mention that, I simply said I volunteer. And I'm proud of what we do. While apologizing, please include what legitimate interest you have in that and why you deride me for doing so. Make that a sincere apology.

You know and I know you can't do any of the above. You can't even acknowledge your actions. Everything you accuse me you did while I was silent. I can understand you can't see my point of view, I can understand that you feel you have been forced into whatever transgressions you have committed, I am aware you think you are a victim and are defending many other victims and therefore righteous and pure. But above all a victim - damaged, wounded and bitter. And experience has shown that any agreement won't be respected. So for the next thing, going for closure

For however and whenever I am around here I am going to ignore you, Frank, and I'm going to do that for myself. Unilaterally, all by myself. I simply don't like who I am when I'm around you. Neither do I particularly like the juvenile, inane attacks which you manage to generate in the absence of any direct provocation. If you want to insult a man, learn how. Without ER around there's little attraction except for TB's non-political posts. So that should not be much of an issue, really.

One last thing, Frank. I've done a lot in my life, I've been exposed to many cultures, many people, many jobs and I've had to deal with many difficult people. Some of them were on my side, some not. There were trying situations and urgent crises. I learned from them all, not always what one might want to learn. I have scars, internal and external. I've taken a lot of chances, been pretty lucky. One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that if you are going to run with the big dogs expect to get bumped. And, Frank, if you whine about getting bumped, expect to get chewed up. That's life.
