I didn't say the articles weren't accurate.
The Mother Jones piece had many links to sources (the proper way to do it). I didn't read the entire Esquire piece, but I assume the interview was valid.
What I said is that they weren't working.
I fully realize Newt's status puts him next in line for a Democratic shitstorm. But his "baggage" is all old news. After being a prime liberal target through all his years in the Congress, especially as Speaker, there isn't a lot remaining in the Democratic arsenal.
